Discover Hollywood-worthy attractions at Natai Beach, the cinematic Thai coastline where Jurassic World Rebirth was filmed.
When Jurassic World Rebirth landed in cinemas, eagle-eyed fans spotted something unexpected beneath the dinosaurs — the distinctive limestone cliffs and lush green wilds of Phang Nga and Natai Beach, just north of Phuket.
While the dinosaurs are CGI, the backdrops are very real and, luckily for all of us, very accessible. We won’t be surprised if this area follows the footsteps of Phi Phi island, which became a set-jetting capital thanks to the cult classic film, The Beach.

From dramatic sea caves to ancient rainforests and sunrise viewpoints that feel lifted from a Hollywood storyboard, here’s where to chase Jurassic World vibes without leaving a T-Rex-sized footprint.

Ao Phang Nga National Park

One of the film’s most iconic backdrops, Ao Phang Nga boasts towering limestone karsts rising from emerald waters. Kayak through mangroves and hidden caves used in actual Jurassic World Rebirth scenes, and you’ll understand why the location scouts said yes at first sight.
Khao Lampi–Hat Thai Mueang National Park

This coastal jungle reserve flies under the radar, but its waterfalls, wildlife, and empty trails are a real feast for the eyes. While not featured in the movie, it’s a thematically perfect twin to the world of Isla Nublar.
Phang Nga Elephant Park

A gentle alternative to the chaos of touristy elephant camps, this ethical sanctuary prioritises conservation over performance. No film credits here, but if dinosaurs had survived, this is where they’d want to retire.

Samet Nangshe Viewpoint

Arguably one of the best sunrise views in Thailand, this hilltop lookout was used in Jurassic World Rebirth for sweeping landscape scenes. Arrive before dawn, ride the 4×4 up, and watch fog slink between karsts like something prehistoric is about to rise from the bay.
Khao Sok National Park

An ancient rainforest older than the Amazon, and one of the film’s primary jungle locations, Khao Sok National Park boasts misty cliffs, mirror lakes, and giant ferns. Put simply, it’s as close to Jurassic Earth as you can get without a Universal Studios pass.
Little Amazon Takuapa

Take a long-tail boat through flooded banyan forests, where twisted roots rise from the water and the jungle closes in around you. With its shadowy stillness and dense canopy, it feels like a scene straight out of a dinosaur-era escape sequence.
Similan Islands National Park

Off the coast of Khao Lak, this stunning marine reserve features coral reefs, sea turtles, and water so blue it borders on surreal. A fitting finale for your Jurassic-inspired escape, explore these waters with a licensed eco-operator and keep an eye out for pterodactyls (or, more likely, reef sharks).
Stay Like a Star: Natai Beach Villas by The Luxe Nomad

After your prehistoric expeditions, you’d surely want to return to modern-day luxury. Natai Beach, nestled between Phang Nga’s cinematic wilds and the Andaman Sea, is home to private luxury villas with serious star power.
So, where can you stay close enough to the action but still enjoy unspoiled, beachfront indulgence? First off: Villa Ananda at the exclusive Jivana Beach Villas, which features expansive tropical gardens, a 25-metre beachfront pool and direct access to the shore. There’s also the collection of Sava Beach Villas, offering sprawling, open-plan villas just steps from the sand. With private chefs, oceanfront locations, and space for the whole cast (or family), these villa estates are everything a luxury set-jetter could ask for.

At Natai Beach in Phang Nga, set-jetting meets slow travel — the landscapes are timeless, the experiences thoughtful, and the dinosaurs (thankfully) are only on screen.
