THE LOCATION: LAIDBACK SANUR

Manu Made

Whether you hail from other sunny parts of Asia or seeking winter sun while it’s cold back home, Bali presents the enviable island lifestyle that instantly puts you on vacation mode. If you’re eager to explore outside of the typical areas in Canggu and Seminyak, Sanur presents a quieter destination where you can rest and recharge while enjoying the best of Bali’s attractions.

Sanur is Bali’s original resort town — a coastal stretch with a relaxed vibe, with great beaches, restaurants, lifestyle venues and boutiques to explore. Head to Mertasari Beach for a lovely stroll with family, where the waves are calm. Or to hit up Icon Mall for some shopping and retail therapy, or do everything from rock climbing and padel games to pottery making at the local gyms and studios.

The open-plan living and dining room presents the perfect setting for your holiday meals. When dining in looks this good, we don’t blame you if you’re reluctant to step outside the villa! The interior colour palette takes a cue from the surrounding greenery, awash in hues of emerald green, earthy brown tones and terracotta shades. Plant life adds life indoors too, contributing to the serene atmosphere.
