Day 1: Arrival and Check-In

Get to arrive at your villa shortly after you land and grab your luggage; Villa Kapungkur is just a 26-minute drive away from the airport and 40 minutes for Cloud Nine Ungasan.

Feel like you’re stepping into a fairytale-like setting at Villa Kapungkur. It’s like a Claude Monet impressionist painting, but with a tropical twist. Step inside the villa to find an enchanting water garden, surrounded by a series of five bedrooms housed in historic buildings, each with its own story to tell.

If Villa Kapungkur feels like living in a storybook, Cloud Nine Ungasan is its modern counterpart. Think of it as being the celebrity’s getaway: exclusive, private, and amenities to impress. It’s set up for living that main character moment, with your bedroom looking out to the garden, ocean, and infinity pool. Not to mention the private chef, sauna, ice bath and hot tub with a projector screen; plenty of ways to relax and fully indulge yourself.

Both Villa Kapungkur and Cloud Nine Ungasan are fully-staffed: the team includes a villa manager, housekeepers, security staff and an on-request personal chef. You can also enjoy having a pre-stocked pantry for a small service fee; hand the team your shopping list in advance to do the grocery run before your arrival.

Day 1: Spa Away or Try Go Karting

If you arrive at your villa early before the 3pm check-in, drop your bags and then go out to explore! Head to Jimbaran Hub: it features a jungle playground, jet bike and skate ramp, art hall and café that the whole family can enjoy visiting. Active adventurers will love that there’s also a Go Kart track that has everything to test your skills on the wheel.

Need some leisure time to deal with jet lag? Check out Ayana Resort, which is home to a variety of wellness facilities and dining venues. This includes a huge 2.2ha spa with an ocean-facing aquatonic pool, which features 12 hydromassage stations with over 60 individual jet streams, micro bubbles, and geysers that massage joints and muscles.

Be sure to check out the resort’s Rock Bar, a cliffside venue that’s perfect for sunset cocktails. You can also consider visiting the nearby Kisik Restaurant and Lounge for drinks and a seafood barbecue feast while admiring the tremendous ocean views. Or return back to the villa, for our suggested next indulgence.

Day 1: Dinner at Cuca

Now that you’ve worked up an appetite for dinner, it’s time for a memorable meal in the Island of the Gods. We’ll recommend making a reservation for Cuca ahead of your visit, for the VIP treatment. Hot tip: be here just before 6.45pm to catch splendorous sights of the sunset. Cuca’s bar area offers the perfect vantage point, overlooking the nearby Queen Beach.

Day 1: Enjoy the Villa Life

After a satisfying meal, it’s time to be ensconced in the comforts of your villa. Explore Villa Kapungkur’s beautiful spaces, whether from a Gebyok room named after its 100 year-old, hand-carved door and the Javanese-style Kimasan and Gladak rooms to a more modern-tropical bedroom with warm wooden finishings that make you feel right at home.

If you want to keep things moving, Cloud Nine Ungasan is ready to kickstart your day at the gym or yoga deck, with a sauna and ice bath for recovery. If you’re ready to start the festivities, the third floor is where the bar puts your social skills into action, or take it down a notch by watching a rom-com movie while soaked in a relaxing hot tub.

Day 2: In-Villa Breakfast

Wake up in a four-poster bed and enjoy a leisurely breakfast, which is included in the nightly rate. You can also do a “floating breakfast” (for a small additional fee) at Villa Kapungkur, and have your meal floating on a tray next to you.

Need a quick caffeine kick? Get your daily coffee from the kitchen, which features a Nespresso coffee machine, as well as a blender you can use to whisk up a mid-morning smoothie. You can also pick up fresh brews from the Bull’s Coffee Jimbaran (3.1km away from Villa Kapungkur) and Tanah Uluwatu (3.4km away from Cloud Nine Ungasan), while on your way to your next stop: the beach!

Located within the Four Seasons Resort, Sundara (1.9km away from Villa Kapungkur) is a sultry beach club by day and a fine-dining destination by night; it also boasts Bali’s longest beachfront pool.

Other recommended restaurants include Balique (3.3km away from Villa Kapungkur), which serves a café-style menu of fresh, healthy dishes of Indonesian and European origins within an open-side pavilion that blends Indonesian architecture with baroque decor. WAATU (1.8km away from Cloud Nine Ungasan) in Uluwatu is where everything is cooked over open flames — think yakitori, fire-kissed plates, and cocktails that lean just as creative as the food.

Consider a day trip to Uluwatu Temple for a dose of culture. Perched on a rocky cape, it’s still one of the best sunset spots on the island. Prefer something more low-key? Swap it for a lazy afternoon at Melasti Beach nearby, where the water is clearer and the crowds feel a little less frantic.

Did we mention that all your meals (if you wish) can also be all prepared in-villa by a private chef? Enjoy a delicious seafood spread on the barbecue grill at Villa Kapungkur, or plan a pizza night with pies that come fresh from Cloud Nine Ungasan’s own gas-fired oven.

Then it’s time to retreat to the comforts of your own ensuite bedroom again. Draw the curtains, snuggle into your four-poster bed, and be fully rested for another beautiful day in Bali.

One of its focal points is a Balinese-style pavilion that appears to float above the pond, accompanied by the sound of a soothing waterfall nearby, and an abundance of lush greenery. It’s the perfect spot for a calming yoga and meditation session.

If you’re in the mood for air-conditioned comfort, Cloud Nine Ungasan’s indoor massage room naturally allows you to drift into a beautiful dream, just like you’re (literally) on cloud nine. No noise, no worries. Just a calming retreat and the best vacation you could ever have on a tropical island.
