#1 Potato Head Bali X Rainbow Disco Club
When: June 8 3:00 PM – June 9 2:00 AM
Where: Potato Head Beach Club, Seminyak
What: Potato Head has teamed up with the world-renowned Japanese music festival Rainbow Disco Club to create a day-to-night event musical extravaganza. The event features six DJs, including Rainbow Disco Club’s co-founder Carlos Gibbs and Australian producer/DJ Tornado Wallace. The event is family-friendly and caters to all, keeping in line with Potato Head’s more relaxed approach.
#2 Deus ‘9ft & Single’ Surf, Art, Film & Music Festival 2019
When: June 13 7:00 PM – June 16 11:30 PM
Where: Deus Ex Machina, Canggu
What: It’s time for Canggu’s biggest little festival. The Deus’ long weekend of Art, Music, Film and Surf is four days and nights of play. During the days, you’ll enjoy the Deus Bali Fish Fry, the Deus Womp Comp (body surfing), and the Mens and Womens Deus 9ft & Single Log Event (longboard surfing contest). At night there will be The Backyard Cinema on Thursday, a concert with five bands playing back to back on Friday, and an Art Exhibition entitled Lookback & Layback on Saturday. Sunday night is the Wrap Up Party which is expected to pull the festival into a fifth day! Throughout the long weekend expect plenty of barbeques, beer, and a whole lot of dancing like no one’s watching.

#3 Bali Arts Festival 2019
When: June 16 – July 14
Where: Taman Werdhi Budaya Art Centre, Denpasar
What: Created as a way to preserve Bali’s traditional arts, the Bali Arts Festival is the cultural event of the year. The monthlong festival showcases hundreds of performers from around the island. Performances include classical palace dances, near-forgotten village dances, food contests, handicraft exhibitions, theatrical performances, and tons of music.
#4 Perang Pandan Festival
When: June 24 – 25
Where: Tenganan Village
What: Part of the Tenganan Pegringsingan Festival is the ancient Perang Pandan rite. This annual tradition, in Tenganan in East Bali, sees friendly duels between the men of the village. The men battle each other armed with a small rattan shield in one hand and a tied packet of thorny ‘pandan’ leaves in the other. The ritual is dedicated to God Indra, the Hindu god of war and the sky, and villagers believe it will help bring prosperity to the village.

#5 A.R.T Year 2019
When: June 30, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Where: The Onion Co, Ubud
What: A kid-friendly, free entry event, A.R.T (Action Relief Team) aims to provide relief to Balinese artists, orphans, and families in need. Combining a delicious lunch buffet (which does cost money – all proceeds benefit those in need), and arts and crafts workshops, this event is all about artistic expression and helping others.
A.R.T is a recurring event that happens on the last Sunday of each month; however, this June’s event will be the penultimate event for the year. Previous events have featured painting, henna, jewellery making and eco-printing!
