#1 Did You Leave Your Airplane Somewhere?
Who: A very forgetful owner, or one that has just had enough of aviation life.
Where: KLIA in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
What: In news you don’t hear everyday, Malaysia Airports put out an ad in The Star newspaper seeking the owner of three abandoned Boeing 747 aircrafts. Despite having the registration numbers for the three commercial planes, the owner’s identity remains a mystery. Whoever and wherever the owner is, they have two weeks to claim the abandoned Boeings in KLIA or the planes will be sold off. If this is you, could you call the airport operator’s staff Zainol Mohd Isa at 03-8776 6100 please?
#2 Floo Network Yourself to LA in April
Who: Muggles.
Where: The upcoming Harry Potter themepark in Universal Hollywood, Los Angeles.
What: Merlin’s beard! 2016 is looking promising already with the news of a new wizarding world opening in April. The new themepark will feature a 3-D ride called Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey (pretty much all seven books then), as well as depictions of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade, where you’ll find an actual Three Broomsticks and Honeydukes. Asia in 2017? We can only hope.
#3 Delta Considers This Kid’s Cute Idea
Who: 8-year-old Benjamin Jensen.
Where: The cute little kido lives in Utah with his parents.
What: Benjamin was watching “Why Planes Disappear” on TV when he came up with an idea — have neon-bright balloons in planes that rise up in the unfortunate event of a crash, with weights so the balloons would stay where x marks the spot. He then drew a sketch of it and sent it to Delta’s CEO, who was so impressed with the idea that he wrote a heartwarming reply: “There are lots of experts thinking about ideas just like you sent us. I will make sure to share your plans with them!”.
#4 The Internet: “Is This Guest Wearing Pants?”
Who: People on the internet.
Where: At the lobby of an unidentified hotel.
What: First it was the dress (white and gold, we say!) and now there’s a new debate: flesh-coloured leggings or bare bottom? This hotel guest was snapped checking into a hotel looking very puzzling to other guests. While it’s probably leggings, people are seriously confused. Click here to get in on the debate (and to see a version of the picture without Santa).
