Sawasdee Ka! Thailand Introduces Digital Arrival Card for Foreign Travelers

Ditch the paperwork at the gate — the Thailand Digital Arrival Card offers smoother entry to the Land of Smiles.

Say goodbye to scrambling for pens on the plane! Thailand is rolling out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), a new online system that lets non-Thai nationals pre-register their arrival information before touching down.

Currently in its trial phase, the TDAC is available for air arrivals at Suvarnabhumi (BKK), Don Mueang (DMK), Phuket (HKT), and Chiang Mai (CNX) airports. Travelers can complete the form online at www.thaidac.go.th and expect to receive a QR code to scan upon arrival — no more fiddling with filling out paper cards.

While the traditional TM6 form is still accepted during this transition period, the TDAC is expected to become the standard by May 1, 2025, streamlining border control and easing entry for tourists and business travelers alike.

Key things to remember:
– You’ll need your passport info, flight number, and accommodation details to complete the form.
– It’s free to fill out and can be done in advance — perfect for those who like to plan ahead.
– You need one QR code per person, and yes, kids need their own application form.

Whether you’re looking to live it up like the characters of the The White Lotus in Samui or explore hidden beaches in Phuket, the TDAC let’s you worry about one less thing.
