International travel from Queensland’s Sunshine Coast has just become more exciting. Jetstar has announced new direct flights from Sunshine Coast Airport to Bali (Denpasar), giving travellers a long-awaited nonstop connection to one of Southeast Asia’s most popular destinations. To mark the launch, Jetstar has released a limited-time sale with one-way fares starting from AUD $199.
The new service, which also offers convenient onward connections to Singapore, marks the first time the Sunshine Coast will be directly linked to major international hubs. Flights are set to begin on 25 March 2026, positioning it as an emerging international departure point while offering locals a more streamlined way to travel overseas.

The route will operate three times weekly using Jetstar’s Airbus A321LR aircraft, designed for long-range efficiency and passenger comfort. With a flight time of around six hours, travellers can now fly straight from the Sunshine Coast to Bali without the need to transit through larger airports. Over 70,000 seats are expected to be made available annually, increasing capacity while keeping fares accessible for a wide range of travellers.

The launch also strengthens Jetstar’s presence in Bali, becoming the airline’s tenth direct route and its fourth from Queensland. As Bali continues to serve as a holiday favourite for many Australians, the expanded network reflects growing demand for flexible, low-cost international travel from the country’s east coast.
Beyond Bali, the new service opens the door to smoother connections across Southeast Asia. Flights have been scheduled to align with Jetstar’s Bali–Singapore services, allowing travellers to reach Singapore on the same day with a single stop. From there, Changi Airport provides onward access to destinations across Asia, Europe and beyond via Jetstar and the broader Qantas Group network, making multi-city itineraries easier to plan.
