Desperate for a chic and relaxed holiday experience in Asia but don’t know where to begin? Let The Luxe Nomad assist you in finding exactly what you are looking for.

As a leading luxury villa and hotel-booking portal, they have thousands of properties that are handpicked by their team to cater to a wide variety of desires and budgets.

The COMO group’s most beautifully designed space is one of their most standout locations yet. Point Yamu by COMO overlooks the Andaman Sea and was designed by renowned Italian interior designer Paola Navone.

Fusing the luxury and artistic expression of the Italian designer with the energy and care of the COMO Shambala wellness retreat ethos and experience, Point YAMU is a one of a kind.

The accommodation design is unexpected; uncluttered and refined but playful which comes through its use of colour and contemporary indigenous art. There is a calmness and clarity that pervades the entire resort that comes through the unique design and the staff’s dedication and ease of service – a winning combination.

Amenities:

Within the COMO Shambala Retreat are a yoga studio, multiple treatment rooms, separate male and female steam rooms, a Jacuzzi and a gym with uninterrupted views of the bay.  The world-class treatments are holistic and truly relaxing.

In room there is a flat screen television, iPod dock, minibar and fresh fruit, toiletries and a private pool in all pool suites. The bathtub is particularly amazing and we implore to submerge within it on a  daily basis.

There are two side by side pools – one shallow and perfect for lazing around and reading your book, the other a little deeper for a more the more serious swimmers among you. Alternatively you can splash around in front of the main restaurant, perfect for a post lunch dip.

Activities:

The ‘active’ options are fairly extensive and many of them are included in the price of your stay.

Bike tours of the local villages run twice a day and are as challenging or as easy as you choose to make them.

The cooking classes held at the Nahmyaa Thai Restaurant are great fun and seriously delicious.  Learn to cook local Thai cuisine and then enjoy the fruits of your culinary labour.

Stand up paddle boarding and kayaking are also available all day.

Dining:

This is one resort where you won’t tire of the dining options after three nights. There is a choice of Italian, Thai or for the health conscious, the COMO Shambala Cuisine. All three options are seriously delicious and the extensive buffet breakfast is the best way to start your day.

A beachside picnic can be arranged upon request and is not to be missed come sunset.
